Birthday Cakes

"Birthday cakes are probably my favorite cakes to decorate.  They are more fun," --Chris

That's because a lot can be done with birthday cakes.  You can create a colorful sheet cakes, cut-out cakes, or even layered tier cakes.  It's all about what you want for the birthday boy or girl.  

Step 1: Choose your Cake Shape

• Basic sheet cakes (rectangle shaped)
• Round cakes (from 6-12 inches)
• square cakes (from 6-12 inches)
• Cut-Out cakes-- we can do just about any flat shaped cakes, check out the gallery below
• Cupcake Cakes-  we can do any design, with any count of cupcakes.  Cupcake cakes can be shaped and iced together to create a large image.  Cupcakes can also be decorated by the single cupcake.
• Cookie Cakes-- cookie cakes can be made in various sizes from 12 inch rounds up to full sheet cookie cakes.  They can be decorated to your specifications.

 Step 2:  Choose your Cake Flavor

• white
• chocolate
• yellow
• marble

Step 3:  Add a Filling

* all cakes can be filled in the middle, with the exception of cupcakes and cookie cakes.

• Fruit fillings-- strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, cherry, and dozens more.  Or create a mixed filling like tropical pineapple mango, or orange peach!
• Puddings-- favorites chocolate and vanilla, and various flavored puddings, add cookie crumbs and more!
• Whipped cream-- regular, chocolate, or various flavors.  Try mint, or add cookie crumbs for cookies and cream!
• Chocolate Mousse-- enough said. YUM!
•  Buttercream Icing-- icing (regular or flavored) can be filled inside your cake as well. 
• Mix it up-- cake fillings can be mixed to create flavors like strawberry cream cheese, chocolate raspberry, and more!  Get creative and flavorful-- we can do just about anything!

Step 4:  Choose your Frosting

• Traditional Buttercream Frosting
• Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
• Whipped Cream Frosting (does not hold up well on some tiered cakes)
• Fondant (available at extra charge)

*White frostings are dyed based on your custom colors.  Need to match napkins or decorations?  Bring in a sample color-- we'll match it!

Step 5: Tell us how to Decorate 

We're confident we can make just about any idea you come up with.  Chris, our cake decorator, is very creative, and likes to try new things.  People are amazed when they pick up their cakes.  Our cakes are truly original and well-designed, primarily because they come from your ideas.

• Basic Icing Decorations

Tell us what colors you want on the cake, and what you want it to say.   Add basic decor like flowers, polka dots, stripes, swiggles, and more!

• Airbrushing

We can airbrush on white icing.  It allows the design to look more natural, by blending various colors.  It can create a big area design, without a lot of dye or excessive icing.

• Photos or Characters

Some of our customers' favorite cakes are cakes with photos.  You loan us your personal snap-shot.  We will scan it and make a fondant-print out (basically sugar paper).  That paper is laid on your cake, and within awhile, adheres to the cake's icing.  These cakes are probably the most unique and special you can get.   Or choose an image of a favorite cartoon character or movie hero.  We'll make your favorite image edible!

• Flowers

Real or artificial flowers can be added to any cake, at an additional charge.  We can supply these, or you can bring them in, to ensure they match your decor.  Adding flowers to any cake, turns ordinary into elegant.

• Fondant

Fondant can be shaped and added to any cake at an additional charge.  Fondant makes many creations possible, but it is a timely and labor-intensive decoration.  Fondant is custom-dyed, and hand-rolled, before being shaped over cakes, or into various cake top decorations.
